2.1 Project Environment
The project serves both a denominational and a non-denominational community of interest. Currently, the community consists of about 50 members who are deeply engaged with hermeneutical theology and the programming of liturgical applications. IRC protocol is used as the communication base. The IRC network was originally designed for technically oriented groups. With around 600 registered networks, it is one of the largest independent extroverted communication systems, comprising roughly 500,000 participants worldwide. The storage and backup solution employed in this project is mirrored on a local NAS-like system and a rented server in Germany. All local system components were assembled and set up by me personally. Installation and configuration tasks are carried out locally and remotely from home.
